Spring Break, Dallas, Training with Tyson

Haven't Posted in a while but I'll try to update regularly.

My spring break started with a hell of a lot of driving, about 7 hours of it in fact all the way to El Paso. There was a national jam going down there and we've never met a lot of the guys so we figured why not. After all the driving There was a good bit of training and I met some great people there, had an interesting fall about nine feet onto my right hand from trying a really weird wall scale but other than that things were good, a lot of people were doing some pretty tight stuff and the jam just had an all round good feel. It was great training with the FoF guys, the Okies and of course Team Moz. After that and some dropping off of some people as well as a script reading for an indie film Matthew and I are going to be in we took a nice drive to Dallas, and by nice I mean it was raining all the way from Kerrville to our destination. Once we got there though all was good and I got to try some stuff I've not done outside, the tac over side summi as well as the traveling wall flip. After the good bit of training with some of the tribe guys we headed back home. Tyson had planned on staying for a couple days so he tagged along. The couple days training with him have been really beneficial to my training. He uses a lot of techniques that I've not thought of and its all round just a great experience to train with someone that has learned differently than you. We did a good bit of balancing with some nice barefoot training and a decent amount of fluidity drills, just a lot of stuff and I'm definitely psyched about the different techniques he showed me, good stuff. Also got more acquainted with the SAPK peeps and while they are young and a bit reckless they have a lot of potential and if they calm down a bit I know they could go a very long way, they also have a pretty nice photographer, Erin so hopefully she'll be able to make it out more.
